VeNoMiZ was born in Detroit, MI. VeNoMiZ started writing songs around the age of 14. " I was like 16 and used to take the bus to One Touch Studio on 6 Mile & Gratiot to watch all the legends like The R.O.C, ESHAM and NATAS used 2 come thru blazin good herb, coppin beats from LAVEL, layin down tracks, and I knew that this was my destiny. That was around the same time I met ABK." says VeNoMiZ. When asked about the 1st time he actually thought that he could make a career out of this, he said," I think the 1st time I ever got a real taste of what the lifestyle is like, I was 18 and TWIZTID took me out on the road with them in the Summer of 2003 for the 1st leg of their " Green Book Tour ". I was their personal assistant and we hit spots like Louisville, KY...Norfolk,VA...Philadelphia, PA...Upstate NY...Portland, ME...Hartfort, CT... and a few other stops! Even though my stay was short lived, I definately learned ALOT about the business end of this shit, and at the end of the day, that's what matters MOST. " When it came down to actually getting infront of a crowd and letting people see what he was made of, he did just that in the Fall of 05' at a VANILLA ICE Show @ the Hayloft Liquor Stand in Mt. Clemens, MI. " I was freestyling over a Dr. Dre beat infront of a crowd of about 500 people.", says VeNoMiZ. " After I spit some of the sickest shit I've ever freestyled in my life, and even threw a few shots in at Vanilla Ice, thats when I realized that I felt most comfortable performing on-stage infront of people. ", he states.
After making appearances on ABK's "Native Funk Re-Release" on the tracks Rattlesnake & Caught Up, being a featured artist on ABK's Detroit Warriors' " Strike 1 " Mixtape and " Orange-Black " Halloween CD, performing on ABK's " Native Funk Tour " in the Summer of '06 rocking spots like Bella Fontaine, OH... Phoenix & Glendale, AZ...Denver & Pueblo,CO...Reno, NV...Dallas & San Antonio, TX...Ft.Smith, AR...Albequrque, NM...Portland, OR, also toured in early 2008 and hit spots like Wichita, KS...Tulsa & Oklahoma City, OK...Ft. Collins & Colorado Springs, CO.. performing @ TECH N9NE's after party in Nov. of 06 in Mt. Clemens, MI, openening up for KINGSPADE ( Johnny Richter and D-Loc of KottonMouth Kingz ) @ Peabody's in Cleveland, OH May of 07, opening for POTLUCK in Mt. Clemens, MI in Aug. of 07, headlining his own show in Jan. 07 @ Alvins in Detroit, MI, just recently opened for DARK LOTUS ( Insane CLown Posse, Twiztid, and Blaze Ya Dead Homie) in Cincinnati, OH @ Bogarts on 6-14-08, performing at the 2008 DETROIT SUMMERBLAST, and being mentioned in REAL DETROIT MAGAZINE and MURDER DOG MAGAZINE , VeNoMiZ plans on making some SERIOUS noise in the underground. " I feel it's important to make good music for all types of people to listen to." says VeNoMiZ. " The industry is limiting artists to certain subject matter, which is pretty much the same old, simple, watered down bullshit that pollutes the airwaves now! How can you consider yourself an artist without being able to express your creativity freely?! " he questions.
With the new year here, look out for VeNoMiZ to be doing some different things, all leading up to the release of his album " PILLZ & POTIONZ " which should have a LATE 2009 release which will have a tell all, behind the scenes, Making Of PillZ & PotionZ LP: The Addiction DVD included. The prequel to his LP, PillZ & PotionZ EP: The Lifestyle, is DONE, and will be released in FALL of 2008 ! " I'm knee deep in this project right now, and it came along alot better than I would've ever expected. " says VeNoMiZ. It will have 6 bangin ass trax with a guest appearance from MALACHI of TEAM TRULY. The LP will feature production from some of the HOTTEST producers coming out of Detroit including LEN CANTREAS from INSTRUMENTALLY SICK PRODUCTIONS, DJ TOM SAWYER & PHIL THACKER of CRITICAL BILL just to name a few.
